  The upcoming Classic expansion for World of Warcraft will be Cataclysm Classic, set to be launched on May 20, 2024. This aligns perfectly with the WoW Classic roadmap, which originally targeted a release date between spring and summer.

  Two significant events will precede the release of Cataclysm Classic. These events are the faction scenarios of Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall (now part of Wrath Classic), along with the Elemental Invasion, which will result in the Shattering event and a redesigned map. With the final phase of Wrath Classic starting on October 10th of this year, the anticipated release window for Cataclysm Classic ranges from late February to mid-April. The Season of Discovery will significantly influence WoW Classic plans for the first half of this year, with two major updates planned before the Cataclysm Classic pre-launch event.
